Eugenics is a complex concept with a diverse set of meanings and uses and a rich (if nefarious) history. Glenn McGee reviews the history of eugenics in the U.S., Germany, Great Britain and other countries. The article covers the influence of eugenics on views of immigration, compulsory sterilization, reproductive autonomy and fertility treatments.
