Abstract

"The topic of treating juveniles as adults has produced much debate, and during the past 20 years, a number of researchers and scholars have questioned the effectiveness of this practice. By assessing the information and evidence that is available, I attempt to bring better understanding to this controversial approach to juvenile crime, which continues to be important in the operation of both the juvenile and adult justice systems."
